Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department
What is a volunteer fire department? It is a simple question with many complex answers. The most common thought of a volunteer fire department is to suppress fires. They also perform other duties related to emergencies. They are usually the first to show up when there is a car wreck. They secure the scene and work hard to save many lives.
The Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department, under the direction of Chief Michael Tolley, performs many duties for our community and they do a great job! Each volunteer is expected to be on call at any time, and this is all done without pay. There is so much appreciation for all they do.
Funding for Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department is based on donations. They work hard to save our homes and our lives. If you would like to donate to the fire department, please drop off or mail them to P.O. Box 188 Gilbert, WV 25621. No amount is too small. Any donations will be used in the operations of the fire department. Please consider a donation today.
